Krystle and I are in California for a brief family trip to see family and drop off some of my Dad's books.
Yesterday watching my Aunt Collette and Cousin Kristin load the dishwasher. Krystle and I were amazed at how clean and shiny the dishes were. We started to complain at how in Utah we have 'Phosphate Free' dish soap and it doesn't leave them spotless. It's Phosphate Free and good for the environment but we feel like the crappiest dish washers in the world when we entertain guests and they receive a glass of water with spots all over. Then Krystle and I looked at each other with excitement.
"Maybe California isn't affected by this 'Phosphate Free' Law"
We talked about making a business running the border loading up on Dish Detergent and selling it in Utah. We talked about buying a few cases at the local Winco. We decided then we were going to buy some of this liquid gold.
After finishing with the family dinner that night, Krystle and I entered the coordinates in the GPS and made our way to freedom. We entered the store, found the dish detergent aisle and were not prepared for what we saw.
'PHOSPHATE FREE' Labels were on every bottle! I was depressed but then I realized that I am 27yrs old driving to the local grocers getting excited about a cleaner that's the cleanest of the cleans. I officially felt old and boring, but I'm loving every minute!
So how come her dishes were so clean then? I REALLY want to know!
ReplyDeleteViki here -- My sister who lives in Salt Lake says she puts a half cup of vinegar in the dishwasher for each load of dishes.
