Day 21: Chin Up
Dear Maybe Baby,
Sometimes I'm sad. I've been thinking of you for a while, and writing messages to you has made me a little sadder than I expected. It's a strange feeling of hope and excitement, mixed with a little bit of despair. Because you are still a MAYBE baby, which means I don't know where you are, or how soon we will be together.
I'll try to be happy. Chin up and all that. I've still got a few days to write, and more to share.
Love you.

Day 20: Grandma and Grandpa
Maybe Baby,
Grandma and Grandpa Cook live right here in town. You are the only grandchild that lives in their same city, which has got to earn you some points. Grandpa is a hard worker and an optimist. He makes the most of every day. Grandma works just as hard, and is very generous. She will literally give me the shirt off her back if I tell her it looks cute. We are blessed to have them so close.Saturday, October 19, 2013
Day 19: Aunt Velecia

Maybe Baby,
Aunt Velecia may be my funniest sister. When she was in high school, she was the most spontaneous person on earth. She is still a little random but a lot joyful. Her husband Eric is a computer guy, and she has four kids that will be your cousins. They are awesome. The boys all have names that start with T, so we call them T1, T2, and T3. Then, those names expanded, in true geek-fashion. O-T1-Kenobi (like Obi-Wan Kenobi), R2-T2, and T3PO. These are all Star Wars references, in case you didn’t know. We don’t have a fancy name for their sister yet. She's fantastic, and quite a bit like her mother. [We are hoping to adopt. You can view our It's About Love Profile HERE.]

Day 18: School
Maybe Baby, school is hard. I work at a high school so in some small way I can make school easier for my students. I keep going back to get more degrees because even though it is hard, I love the way that each new class makes my brain feel energized. I’m excited to see what you choose to do to energize your brain.

Day 17: Love
Love is all around you if you look carefully enough. When you have the chance, you will fall in love. Choose someone who respects you and cherishes you. Choose someone who makes you laugh and inspires you to be the best person you can be.

#31 Days
My husband and I are hoping to adopt. There's not a lot we can do, but while we are waiting for our MAYBE BABY, we think a lot about what we have to offer, why we want to be be parents, and how things will be when we are given the chance. Messages for our Maybe Baby includes explorations of all of these things, and a bit of insight into our personalities, hopes, dreams, and fears. Thanks for stopping in. Enjoy the 31 day journey!
